What is Two Monster Books?

 

Two Monster Books was founded by Nick and Ashley Adkins in 2012 with a single goal in mind: getting kids excited about reading, writing, and being uniquely creative. The Great Big Scary Monster and Sloth VS Turtle represent only the beginning of Nick’s career as an author and illustrator, and both books have served as the centerpiece of Two Monster Books’ campaign to improve literacy. By the end of 2012, 10% of all books in print had been donated to children in need and to other charitable causes.

 

Nick is currently working on a chapter book about a lonely girl who tries to build a robot to be her friend. August Adelaide's How to Make a Friend will aid the Two Monster Books mission by reaching another key audience in middle grade readers. While reading begins at home, Nick’s goal is to spark the imagination of every child he meets through school visits and reading events, in turn sparking an interest in reading and writing.
